Looks well fitted mate well done, did some last week very easy to work with, very forgiving material. 😀 😀

Thanks Richard,
You’re right, lovely material to work with and a nice little earner. I could do these all day!Cheers

Looks great Jeremy, well done. I’ve been thinking of having a go at doing that on my weekend car.

Good morning Staff,
I like the idea of a weekend car, I’m presently looking to buy a roadster for next summer.
Thanks for your comment, give it a go!
The topic title has been changed and describes it as an interior panel when it should be the exterior exhaust tailpipe panel.Jeremy

Looks awesome. Just got ourselves a roadster for summer as well. Might as well get some wind in my hair while I’ve still got it.

Wind or hair ?
Jeremy
Sorry Jason, I couldn’t resist !

As tempting as it is, I didn’t go for a roadster. I’ve always wanted a Mitsubishi 3000GT so decided to get one for the weekends. Bloody expensive in every way but well worth it in my opinion.
The paintwork isn’t great on it so I’ve been thinking of getting a wrap done but it’s just another expense I can’t really justify at the moment

Hi Staff
Cant justify spending£200 to wrap your 3000GT? You must be mad mate!!!

great first go at using a wrap mate, thanks for taking the time to post your work.
i have attached "my first" go with 3M Dinoc Carbon. (incomplete) it was done as a bit of a favor for a Friend, still charged them but really just wanted to be paid for my own education benefits. obviously he wasn’t told it was the first i had used carbon. :lol1:
anyway… wraped the full dashboard of an old astra van… couple of days later i wrapped the bonnett and other parts of another car in Hexis carbon… im wanting to try some other carbon wraps out there also because i am doing a comparison demo on these new wraps on easy of use, how they handle etc anyway… watch this space. got a whole bunch of demos coming very soon…the little crease/kink you can see isnt actually a crease, its the shape of the panel.
sorry Jeremy… babbling on there mate and hijacking your post mate…

Rob,
what would you charge for that as a retail job?
di-noc and video’s on how to apply are freely available on auction sites, and youtube.
boy racers do a google and see its "easy"
I find its not worth the hastle to do a dashboard, or a wing mirror.
I can earn better money doing other stuff,

it was more as a favour peter, but i charged £200 for doing that… as i said, i do not do this line of work for the same reasons you have just said. but as i said, i wanted to give the carbon films a go for the first time, but get paid for it.. i just recently gave the new 3M solid colour wrap films a go too.
ill go into more depth in the demos… but just wanted to post this because just like jeremy, it was my first carbon wrap and it was also my first car interior. -
Please feel free to babble Rob, I look forward to your comparisons as I am very interested in expanding this side of the business.
Cheers

quote John.Taggart:Hey all we did a partial wrap on a GT3000 recently. Attached some pics. The 3M Di-Noc is a nice material and is pretty forgiving 🙂
Looking good John!! Not sure I would go for a carbon look all over, maybe just a single colour. Did it take you long?

Hey Stafford
We only did the roof and the rear section as he already had real carbon fibre on the doors and the front section of the car.
Took about 3 hours in total.
