  • Cannot get a contour cut from colorip through flexi

Posted by advsign on March 8, 2005 at 8:33 pm

Made a simple file and placed a contour cut line around the graphic in flexi. Then I exported it to .EPS and opened in colorip. Went to rip-print and the graphic prints but does not cut.
Any ideas? It use to work for me at one time.

    Thanks,
    Ken

Not sure what you are asking, you dont give a whole lot of info..

But it seems you are exporting the art to an outside print and cut RIP..
Did you make sure both machiines are selected>
and are the regisration settingd good as well.

Make sure your cut line is set up correctly. There are instructions in colorip’s help. It needs to be named CutPath or something similar and the upper/lower case must be exact.

Sorry if this is a bit vague but I’m at home and don’t have colorip here!!!

If you use the contour in effects in Flexisign the colour rip may not recognize it as a cut line (only recognized my flexi family) I think there should be a set colour for the contour cut to be recognized in your rip, you may have to do an contour outline in Flexi and set it to a certain colour and rename it as the previous post said for your rip to see it,
    hope this helps
