    Hi All,
Hoping someone can help…can anyone recomend a doublesided foam tape that will stick large 3mm foamex panels to a matt emulsion paint finish wall and stay stuck!
    Cheers
    Paul.

most good foam tapes will stick to the paint the problem is the paint sticking to the walls.

Don’t do it, use alternate fixings

    Hi Chris,
I have no other option of fixing! client wants foamex as flush to the wall as possible…I was hoping someone could offer a specific tried and tested product?

We use one from indasol, costs about £8 a roll for 25mm from memory

    Cheers

im with chris on this one when you dont know what grip the paint has on the wall you cant be sure will what you put up will stay, for that reason nobody can say that any tryed and tested product will work, what about you supply with whatever tape and let them fit it ??.dont let the client back you into a corner and make you do something wrong ,at the end of the day if you put it up your responsible.Rest assured when and if it goes wrong he will be back to you 😮

    thanks fellas for the reply,
These are exhibition graphic panels up for 3 days that are being fixed to an internal mdf wall which is painted with matt emulsion. I will give indasol a buzz and get samples also will also test the evostick on the workshop wall before going to site!

    Thanks again..

in that case use Velcro with the loop part against the wall. Even for exhibitions we tend to staple through into the mdf as the adhesive can fail in the heat.

Whatever you do remind your client there could be some paint loss on removal

We use tip seam from spandex. It’s a vhb tape! I’ve stuck various sizes upto 8×4 on the wall with this with 100% success! I’ve had large composite & foamed panels on my walls with it for over 4 years! Just recently removed them all, which was extremely difficult due to how strong this stuff is! Highly recommended!
