    When You get a Pdf file with an emmbeded font is it possible to extract and use that font ? or can you convert it someway in acrobat reader.

    Hi Martin,

    I don’t think you can use the fonts embedded in a PDF as I think by default it only embeds the characters used. Having googled this, I found it could be done, but not very easily…something about only Adobe 3 and lower.

    • The latest SignLab 7.1 has support for importing PDF that contain embedded fonts.
    • This is quite useful if you need to correct the user’s spelling or modify the type.
    • Included in the SignLab documentation are explanations for how to embedd the entire font set within the PDF.
    • Otherwise, for any new text you would be limited to only the initial characters in the PDF.

    In the SignLab help, look up PDF in the index and refer to "Exporting PDFs from Design Applications."
