How does everyone cut the vinyl around door handle recesses and wheel arches etc. Can it be done from the vehicle outlines ( although have tried but doesnt cut near enough) or do you trim after application with a scalpel. Have seen it done on a few of your pics before.
Maybe its another demo for you Mike 😆

quick reply! no no no… 😆 😆 😆 dont rely on the vehicle disks. they are not accurate enough for this kind of thing.
trim it on the van. use a brand new blade always! and cut once very light.
practice on a peace of painted metal so you can get a feel for the pressure to use. after you trim it. peel the vinyl all off. if you have a cut in the paint you need more practice 😉

I use the same method as Rob. The only thing to be wary of is not to cut into the paintwork of the vehicle. If you cut too deep the bodywork will eventualy rust in this area so be very careful. As Rob says – use a new blade and lightly cut the vinyl making sure you leave the paint surface intact.
