Can the the Cadet print onto matt and gloss paper?

If so is it an economical way of printing one off posters compared to to other printers in terms of costs of inks?

Where would I be able to buy the poster paper from?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

    Paul

Im not sure about the Cadet and solvents , but my soljet prints onto various papers , I get most of my papers from the paper mnfgrs and digital print media purveyors.
Heavyweight matt paper is quite cheap , some of the coated and other papers arent.
At worst for a coated waterproof semi gloss/matt (made by X-film or Starrex) and full coverage full resolution ink , the costs are about 10 quid a square meter or 1 quid a sq ft.
You wont get as good results as printers like the HP’s that are meant to print on papers with 8 inks etc , but it is very acceptable if not better than that. I print photos for competions and posters on mine , but my advantage is size and reslution , there is not much else out there that will print 1.3m wide at 1440 dpi in the cheap end of the market.
The best is to get samples and try. digital printing is about the only way to go for one offs.

I am no expert in this field so i am basing this on what I have heard from B&P…

There is a obvious width restriction with Cadet being 30” wide

compare the running costs of a HP 5500 which is predominately a poster printer.. approx costs HP = £7 sqm Cadet = £3..

the resolution output you set, would also be a factor i guess.

B&P Lightbrigade the company that sell the cadet also sell a full range.

Robert , despite what mnfgrs say , budget on 15-20 ml of ink per sq meter on most stuff – makes life easy to work out costs.

You can indeed print on paper with the Cadet

Hexis have a nice paper that we have had excellent results on.

The product code is PPH 500, and you can get Hexis on 01543 411221.
