ZIP it or just change the extension to an allowed format with a note saying what it should be.

    Hi Dave

    Cheers for that quick response.

This highlights something to be wary of:-

We opened that file originally in IrfanView to save again as a JPG to use as a template when creating the fret cut tray. However using IrfanView the final ‘S’ that the customer has added doesn’t show up, obviously it does in PaintShop Pro. I’m guessing Irfan doesn’t show all the layers.

Net result we need to make a new fret cut tray with the missing ‘S’ and go back out of hours to replace it.

I’ve always relied heavily on IrfanView but be warned that clearly it’s import filters aren’t 100% reliable.

The worst bit is not the replacement cost but I’d been very firm with the customer saying that they were liable for sending incorrect artwork. Cap in hand and with humble pie I’m now going to ring them to say we are sincerely sorry.

    Cheers
    Macky
