  • can someone help with a text composing problem please?

    Newbee question.

I have signlab 6.1 installed on computers in work, and works a treat.

Yesterday I loaded Signlab 6.1 on to my laptop and all working okay, except when I try to compose text. When I touch a key, instead of one letter, example ‘a’ appearing I get around 30 letter a’s on screen, the same is happening on all the alphabet. When I type a number, say ‘1’ I get 2 number 1’s, 3 number 2’s and so on.

I would appriciate if anyone could let me know whats going on here, as I have plenty to be getting on with.

PS Didn’t want to contact Signlab, as probably shouldn’t be using it on another computer, and need quick resolve.

You are entitled to use it on another computer, as long as you have the dongle connected, I had the same problem, quite a while ago, cant remember the fix, but you can log onto cadlink.com for the answer.

There is a SignLab 6.1 tech note that speaks to this issue. Here is the link:

Very common problem Anthony. And easily resolved. Wouldn’t worry too much about contacting Cadlink or anyone else that could help next time 😀
