    Hi all

Wonder if someone knows what is going on, i have yet to study it but this was reported to me.

1: We AI import into Gerber Omega 2.4 and then output to our odyseey cutter.
2: On output we get letters where the finishing cut doesnt’ meet the starting cut, this could be about 4mm or more.

    Solution
1: We AI import into Gerber Omega 2.4
2: Group the selection and then output to our odyseey cutter.
    3: Everything is fine

Any ideas? I am mere amateur at the software as we design in Corel

Dave, we use roughly the same process as you. Design work in AI then cut from composer but we have a different cutter. Have you tried importing as a AI version 8 file?

…And, we have had problems in the past where we’ve saved using more than one layer. Solution we used to get round this was to have all work on the AI file to be placed on a single layer.

Import as an eps. Just make sure everything is converted to curves. Older versions of AI files sometimes struggle when imported to Omega.
Or you could try exporting the file from Coral as a CMX file.

I assume your using Omega 2.5 as there was no 2.4.

Using the "group" command does nothing more then "mark" the objects so that when one is selected they (all in the group) get selected.

If you import into Composer and select one of the objects that does not close when cutting and then select the Detail Edit tool does it look "open" there? Zoom, Zoom in

In GspPlot the only think I can think of is "sequence plot" which rearranges the output order.

If you cut the ungroup then cut the group do they cut in the same order? or is it different?

Do you have a different cutter you can use to compare? Does slowing it down make a difference?
