Hi all, I have just changed from Corel to signlab and having problems with cutting. I have a Roland Camm 1 24, my problem is on the cut preview screen in Signlab the page is shown running left to right with perforated holes running top and bottom of the page however when I cut the vinyl the the cut is made as it shown on the screen with the item shown at the bottom ie side of vinyl longest edge but is actually being cut on the narrowest . (If you are not confused by now I certainly am!!!! ) In other words it cuts 90 degrees to what is shown in relation to the page the end result is that it looks ok to cut for width on the screen but cuts across the page and therefore runs off the side of the page. Its like its cutting landscape but showing portrait. Sorry to be confusing. Anyone got any ideas I never had any problems with Corel it cut as shown.

All Rolands have a rotate 90 of some sort. You need to turn that ON.
For some reason , Roland defaults thier X axis along the WIDTH of the viny and the Y axis along the LENGTH.

Turning on Rotate 90 makes the coordinte system act like every other plotter. On some Rolands, its a Button, on some its a DIP switch at the side, and on some its a Menu Item.
The Menu item could be either “ROTATE 0-90”
or it could be “Expand X vs Expand Y

I answered this queation at least 1000 times when i was in tech support.
