  • can minstral RIP conflicti with FlexiSign?

Posted by Mike Ennis on November 2, 2006 at 12:28 pm

I’ve just had Spandex’s Mintral RIP installed to run a Jetster 62(Rockhopper 1). The installation seems to have drastically slowed my PC and conflicts with my already installed FlexiPro 7.5. The installation engineer told me that I won’t be able to use both Flexi and Minstral! at the same time (conflicting dongles?)! I’ve had to remove Minstral just to output some vinyl cut jobs using my existing Flexi and Graphtec plotter.

Has anyone else experienced such problems and if so how did you overcome them?

I’m thinking can I do without the Minstral RIP altogether and run the Jetster and Summa from FlexiPro? I can see a setup driver for the Jetster 62 in Flexi but no profiles (the Jetster/Rockhopper uses Eco Ultra ink) Does anyone have profiles for Eco Ultra for use in FlexiSignPro 7.5?

The new plotter is a Summa 1200mm OPOS equipped m/c badged as a "Gerber" but can’t see it listed in the Flexi plotter driver list.

Hope someone can help shine light on this.

    Regards, Mike.

    Mike,

Not sure if this will help – but if you register with Scanvec Amiable (www.scanvecamiable.com) and include your dongle no.etc. you can get access to their download library. They do seem to have some profiles that you can download – although not sure if they have your precise one. (There is one for mutoh falcon outdoor 62 ecosol ultra – don’t know if close enough for you?)

the rip is a re badged ergo soft, which is a really good rip and the contour cutting is so easy to use you cant go wrong,
i have ergo and photo print ( which is flexi rip) server installed and they seem to work fine,
i would contact both tour supplying dealers and hopefully they should help
