  • can i use a troughlights-uplighter, upside down?

I’ve spoken to one supplier about using a troughlight to use upside down so that it would be used as an uplighter.
He recommended using silicone to seal the light so that it is water tight.
Is this the correct way or does anyone else know a firm who makes them water tight?

I’m sure Insight put rubber seals in their troughs for uplighting.

But they don’t really recommend using a trough as an uplighter, they have a limited life before rain and the like seeps into the unit.
