  • can anyone tell me how to export text only from corel?

hi – can someone help me – i have not had corel long

i am trying to make some wording in corel to put on buttons etc on the template for a website, but when i export from corel and open in photoshop the saved word is in a square which bounds the text – but has the white from the corel background underneath it.

i have tried to set background as ‘no background’ – but can’t figure out how to just export the text as just letters and no more.

    thanks

thanks chris – but i didn’t quite understand the ‘put into a ps file’

i assumed it meant open in photoshop (ps)
but after i save as AI. when i open the saved file with photoshop i have a blank grid??

    sorry for being slow 😥

thanks – i had tried exporting as ai. file, but that didn’t seem to work

i think its because – and this is the strange part

if i export from corel as ai. then photoshop won’t open it.

but i can open the exported from corel ai. file in illustrator, immidiately re-save it as an ai. file, and photoshop will then recognise and open it????

could this be an adobe thing?
or is it because i am only using photoshop 6?

anyway – have solved it now – even though i have to go around the houses.

Export as a gif and select the white area as transparent.

Can you not just type the text in photoshop instead of using corel ?
