    hi all,

i have a cadet machine and use corel 12 and now 13. my problem is in order to cut around an item I want to print i have a cut contour set up in corel 12 (which I did around 2 years back) I now want to be able to do this from 13.

can anyone advise how to do this in 13 please, am sure its pretty easy but would appreciate advice from the experts 😀

    thanks

    Gooday Graeme,
I’m not at all familiar with contour as used in print and cut but would the contour you are looking for be under ‘Effects’ ‘Contour’ ?

    Hi Graeme,

Are you using the Troop Rip. If you are there is a section in the manual that covers creating a contour cut.

I know you found your solution, but for anyone else reading this thread looking for an answer and they have a different RIP; I would say 90% of the RIP software titles look for the cut contour as either a SPOT colour which is determined in the .eps file, or as the actual name of the Layer in the file of that cut contour.

    Example: ONYX 6.5 & 7 Production House

Create a new swatch colour called CutContour and set the settings to SPOT Color w/ the following settings: C:0% M:50% Y:100% K:0%. When you create yor cut contour path save the layer named CutContour and fill it with the swatch you just created. When you import the file into the RIP, the software will notice the SPOT color filled contour and place the proper marks and bar code for cutting.
