  • Can anyone suggest a suitable material?

    Hi folks,

I’m looking for a sheet material, 8’x4′, which a magnet will stick to but also pretty lightweight. We’re going to use it to make a scaled layout of a customer’s yard. They’ll have small magnets which will represent their trucks and vans. Anything we have came across is too heavy to be mounted on their office wall.

    Thanks,

    Nick.

Sheet of Plasticol metal from adam g brown in parkhead.
use the reverse. made tons of them from it. then magnetic panel cut to shape to stick to it.
get them to guilotine it to size for you…
about £30 per 10ft x 4ft but ask for a odd colour or thinner than a mill and you will get much cheaper. your using the rear so doesnt matter what colour you get.

Have you looked for a stock dry wipe marker board. Some are actually magnetic, not sire if they make them that big. Extra cost might save you a bit of time.
