can anyone recommend a good masking vinyl?

frisk film from a art shop but the backing paper is a bit thin or one of the removable glue vinyls that you would use for shows etc.

i have used static cling film for simular before now.
also spandex do a masking film

i only need enough to cut 2 masks 600mm in diameter each. So hopefully Europoint will do me a small amount and will have no minimum order of 50m or something silly! 😉

i was sure minimum amount from europoint was 5mtr of vinyl for uksg.
that said, that might be on regular vinyls, as the mask films are so cheap it might not be worth selling in small quantities.

Yeah, that’s right Robert 5m …. but perhaps the mask is different…. anyway I’ll ask the question tomorrow since Cammy isn’t online for me to pester right now! 😀

I take it the oracal stuff is low tack?

yeh low tack. i used to use it on banners and curtain siders when i was inking in the text. ask what colours it comes in, i think it "might" be just white though… always try getting an odd colour as it makes stencil work so much easier having a different colour of vinyl to the surface your working on.

I got blue paint mask from some of them and although supposed to be low tack it still takes a decent grip.
