    Hi,
I have a detour sign in flexisign but it is too big to cut the whole thing across on my vinyl roll. So i have flexisign set to cut half then the other half second. The problem is that when it cuts the edge that would be at the middle of the sign gets cut over three times causing the plotter to cut through the vinyl. Is their a way to prevent this. I’m using a Graphtec7000.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Have you got a trim border turned on in your production manager.

Alternatively prepare the file in two pieces prior to sending to plotter.

I looked in the settings of flexisign and it seems that that setting to cut a border is clicked off so i am not sure why it is cutting through the vinyl. If anyone has any other suggestions they would be appreciated.

I think this is something to do with the setting "Cut page crossing" under the advanced tab of production manager. When ever we cut something larger than the vinyl we do as said above and prepare the file in two halves first, just leave a small overlap of about 10mm.

Your probably right that its easier to just prepare it in two pieces
