  • can anyone help with some modern ideas for layout?

Posted by Peter Normington on December 6, 2006 at 12:58 am

This is a design based on the clients bis card, compass is to be done in silver metalic, and the one shown is not the one to be used, but similar.

I would like to "tweak it a bit"
client is a bit traditional, but wants to go more modern, this is very different from his old layout, but he is happy with it. I think it can be improved,
    any suggestions?
the other side of the truck is solid, the side shown, has 4 doors.

ps(please ignore minor kerning and spacing issues its only a draft copy)

Make it all bigger. Bigger costs more. 😀

Andy did just what I would have done.
It needed to be tied together more.
    And lose the "tel".
And the fax entirely…who is gonna fax them when this is out on the road?
    Love….Jill

I agree with Jill and Andy. A good design IMO 😉

Thanks Andy, and Jill I had similar thoughts, however customer and 3 of his staff all decided on the smaller design with a few small adjustments.

I will post the finished job,
I am fitting it during my teabreak on Friday..

I agree that Andy’s is a much better overall appearance but I think something would have to be done about the INTERNATIONAL International.

I don’t like to see that.

this what he wanted, the silver compass works well (now you see me, now you dont)
took me a bit longer than my tea break, went over into lunch break as well.

Geez, that’s one UGLY vehicle. Signage is best part of it. I dont think a rear overhang like that would be legal in Namibia. I slight dip in the road, and you’ll have to stand back to watch the sparks fly!!

I thought the same here gert. I’m not up with the latest design rules here, but I’m pretty sure that truck would not pass machinery here. The overhang would be a question for a single axle truck. Almost looks like it was made for a dual axle truck, but put on a single axle chasis.

Good job tho Peter. Very smart in the finish.
