  • can anyone help with rounding corners after pen tool please?

hi all – am i going the wrong way about this?

i have drawn a strip over and through the letters with the pen tool – and want to uniformly round the edges.
i added 2 new nodes where i want the curve to start and end – but can’t get rid of the rest of the circle and the original straight line.
i have been trying the weld and trim commands – but can’t seem to get it.
or is there an easier way?

i know the diagonals arn’t uniform – but i will start from scratch when i know i have the corner rounding sorted.

    cheers

hi mate, i use corel 12, so things might be a tad different, but it looks the same.

remove the circles, they’re not required.

take the shape tool and right clck on the short diagonal line that you want the corner to be, when the menu drops down, click ‘to curve’, then you can manipulate the line as you see fit.

Trim the inner circle from the shape and weld the outer one to it. Or buy X3 which has a tool for radiusing corners. 😛
