i have single sheets to be printed 62"x27" the area size of print is 64"x16"
is it possible to print on the cadet, if it is how would you line up the vinyl to make it go through straight, i’ve set the pre-feed to enable but vinyl still going off 😕 any ideas 😀

    thanks

do you mean you want the vinyl to track over 64inches nik?
ide imagine it can print much further than that without veering off…

i might be reading your problem wrong sorry if i am… 😕

silly me………….the over all print area is 54″ x16″ 😳

which fits in fine…but lining it up straight all the way down the length of the vinyl is a pain getting it aligned in the cadet is taking for ever 😮 as i have over 50 of these single sheets to print 😕 thought someone might have an easier way to do it 😀 hope that made sense

the way it reads is the print is bigger than the vinyl.

but you should be able to line up with the front of the print bed.

there is a gap between the heater and the bed which a thin ruler could be put in vertically butt the sheet edge against the ruler

im confused… when u say “print”, are you refering to a Silk-screen print then re-feeding it into the Cadet for print/cutting?

Or you got 50 sheets printed and your re-feeding them to do a print correction?

Re-aligning print is tricky on the mighty JV3 :lol1:, but it has a ribbed feed so u can visually line easily back and front of the machine. A JV3 will not wonder much at all if you put the sheet in and align it correctly, print good 10mtrs before wondering a little.

However if cutting on the CGFX, u put 4 marks on with Silk-Screen then feed into cutter and cut’s perfectly everytime. No die-cutters needed!

Sorry… i get my coat now and shutup

sorry for all the confusion folks…..this was driving me up the wall. but ive got it now…. 😳 i would have prefered printing onto a roll…but already had in stock the sheets….it was meant to be a screenprint job at first, then i got the artwork…it was a digital job (typical adv. agencies) so thought id use the cadet 😀 ive marked out with pencil lines around the vinyl and have managed to get it lined up….i wouldnt have minded to much about it, but the artwork has a grey band which runs right along the edge of the print so it has to be spot on 😕 saves me cutting 😀 thanks for trying to help folks…..im usless at trying to explain things 😉

    Hi Nik

As Chris said you can line up the print with the small slot along the front just after the bit with the holes in (technical term).

You can use this as long as the sheets are cut square.

This is the same method you use when doing print/laminate/cut.
