hi all, got a customer in today who asked for us to do something to cover up a bad temporary body repair on the back wing.

i am having a mental block, difficult shape to cover, it can be done either with cut vinyl or wrapped in printed.

I have marked the area necessary with the yellow, as "in your face" as you wish

    any ideas

    cheers

I think you should put the back of another car on it, facing the opposite way.
The yellow part to me looks like the back end of a boxy 1980s car.

Are we talking ‘boy/girl racer’ with tuning?
    or something else

Saw this on tinternet… thought it looked cool and thought a big square may be the answer at the back…
Is it really the whole panel? best them get it replaced to be honest.
The panels possibly gonig to be cheaper then your costs i suspect.

yes dave, thats what i told him, it would be cheaper i’m sure to get a proper repair than me spend time and effort designing summat and then having to apply it.

Vinyl wont hide it anyway in my experience just shows it up more.

    how about this then??

to be printed onto laminate then over laminated with laminate (plenty of laminate!!)

so it should give an almost transparent look.

    cheers

the car isn’t actually dented, the chap has attempted a paint job on the rear quarter panel and the paint don’t match too well and has no laquered shine.

    cheers

Some sort of fade from the bottom of the door up to the back, maybe to black, printed on clear as you said with the Renault logo watermarked into it.
