  • can anyone help with flexisign/Production Manager Problem

Hi there, I’m hoping some of you good people may be able to help me, I’ve recently upgraded my old flex 6.5 and Mac Os 9 up to Flexisign 7.7v2 on a machine running OS X 10.4, which has a Roland CM-500 hooked up to it.
I’ve having some trouble however –

A lot of jobs keeps crashing while cutting, most often that not the plotter displays Er15: Wrong number of parameters. I have more trouble with the more complicated designs.

I thought maybe it was down some of the settings in the Production Manager but I can’t be sure, one job I was trying to cut just kept crashing every time, I played about with the settings, turning AutoWeld off and then I seemed to get it through, this seemed to be a one off though and hasn’t helped with other jobs since.

When a job does crash it freezes Production Manager and even a force quit won’t help, so I have to restart my machine, then clear the job, then restart again [if I try and cut after just the first restart and clearing the job from production manager then it’s a guaranteed crash.]

Also more often that not, if i cut a job successfully, then load in another roll of vinyl to try and cut the second colour, I will go to cut/plot and it will open production manager, then when I click Poll Size to check the width of the roll it just won’t return the result. I then have to again restart my machine.

Am I right in thinking Flexisign’s a PC based program that’s been poorly made into a Mac version?!

Any help would be great please guys,

    Many Thanks,

    Ad.

    P.S – Hello everyone, I’m new here! 😀

If you have a genuine product just go to the flexi website and get support from them Thats what I would do.
