  • can anyone help seperating images with clipping path please?

Could you computer whizzkids help me please.

I have got an image library disc and I am trying to separate
the images "CLIPPING PATH" to take for example a plate of food from
the picture and to superimpose this onto another background.

The images already have the clipping path but I cant get it to
    work with my limited knowledge.

I have Adobe Photoshop 4 but no manuals, also Corel Photopaint 9.

Your help greatly appreciated as usual.

I think if you select the path and look on the bottom of the layer palette there is something like ‘make path a selection’

    Hi

You should just be able to Cut or Copy the contents of the clipping path and then Paste this onto your alternative background?

For a feathered edge then make sure your Navigator tool bar is showing (Toolbar at the top – Window – Show Navigator), Select the options (marquee options) tab and this will allow you to slelect the number of pixels for a feathered edge. (0 for crisp edge and more for a gradual fade out). A very very slight feathering can make your plate of food look less like it’s been superimposed onto another picture.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Cheers
