    Hi there, i am using corel x3 to design the sign and the versaworks to rip and print, only trouble is the eps is nearly a gig and wont let me open it in versaworks?? maybe if i make it really small in corel and then make it bigger in versa? would this be ok? thanks guys and gals 😉

    If you design in x3 at 25% of size and export at 300dpi then blow up to correct size in rip software you shouldnt go far wrong. 😀

    sweet, cheers for that. but now im getting a file corrupted in versaworks? grrrr any help? cheers

    I went through a stage of getting that. I just got Versaworks updates and all has been fine since.

    EPS files can really grow if the ‘include header’ is ticked and the resolution is high. Generally it is on with a resolution at 72 dpi. The header is used by programmes such as Quark for position and size, output to postscript device will use the postscript for print, turn this option off and file size should reduce, you may see just a grey rectangle in the RIP preview but if it is a postscript RIP it should output ok, do a small test.
