  • can anyone help please with Flexi pro 7.5 setup?

    Hello,

I had Flexi 7.5 installed on my windows 2000 machine and was working fine. Since then my motherboard packed it in and I bought a new system with Windows Vista on it. The install went fine except that when I started production manager for the first time, the manufacturer and model popup was empty. (i.e. the window came up but didn’t contain any options). Any ideas?

If I were you I would contact scanvec to see if flexi 7.5 is compatable with windows vista. As vista is only just out you may have to upgrade to flexi 8 or scanvec may have a patch that will allow you to run flexi 7.5 with flexi. Either way I would think they would be your best bet as I don’t think any of the board members have started running vista yet, I have been running vista RC2 for a while but only on a laptop which wasn’t used for sign work, I won’t be installing vista on a working machine until Microsoft get some of the bugs worked out.

Hi this will happen with any new installation of Flexi – whether on Vista or not.

In production manager you need to go to ‘Setup’ then ‘Add Setup’ , Choose whether cutter, printer or hybrid and select the manufacturer and model, then change any of the default communication settings if required. Someome must have done this on your last installation – possibly the people who sold you your system.

    Cheers
