    hi all,

i often use the text to path tool, but now i need to make the text go vertically down, ie
    o
    n
    e

    l
    e
    t
    t
    e
    r

over another, there seems no provision for this, well not that can find ? any ideas ? got to be an easier way than just placing each individual letter !

I might be wrong Hugh but I don’t think there is any provision for what you want.

I normally treat it as text I.E – type it out as you need it then centre it up & adjust the line spacing as needed with the node edit toggle tool

    Hugh,

I use Corel 12 but had never tried what you describe. However, I have just played and found that if you set you path and attach the text and then access the ‘text orientation’ drop down menu you will see an option that allows the letters to remain upright regardless of the path shape. I did this and then formatted text to set the spacing etc. Not sure if this is the right way around your problem but it seems to work.

cheers all, didnt think to look at help ! doh ! i’ll try again. ta

nope, just tried that, text always sits on or under the line, or follows a wavy path etc, verticle path or verticle text came up nil on help.

    hmm.
