do you use this series of actions to normal contour cut eddie?
what i mean and if im reading right is, you normaly would do this and it cuts fine and this time its cutting over the top of your prints?

yeah rob, did 50 8″x4″ oval stickers today with contour cut, first class job!!
then this evening my first trade job came in, 100 5″x3″ simple labels plain text white back must have by tomorrow, so as i am only feeling my way & afraid of loads of media in the bin! i did a sample print & cut of five &
when the machine went to contour cut i did a smaller cut over all five labels!!! each cut was a lot smaller & well of line, its like its like the plotter isnt communicating with the printer! bloody typical isnt it, just when i need to deliver the goods things go pear shape, (:) eddie

its always the same with new kit mate. i know this isnt gonna help but im sure its something very silly being overlooked.
are you saying it contour cuts but the does another over the top also or just that the contour cut is not aligning properly?

my problem here is i have not used troop just yet, & i dont use corel 😕 fat lot of good ill be here eh..
have you maybe changed an offset or some kind of setting. have you tried closing everything down then starting up again (if you havent touched anything)
try creating the file again.. not from scratch just re-apply the contour cut again and go thru your series of actions and try again with one or two..

it may well be something in the way you set up the contour cut and didnt realise it.

    Try this.
    1) Turn off the machine and reboot it (the plag switch)
    2) Import only the TEXT into corel and re-design the contour cut line in Corel
    3) Export as a postcipt 3 file (under advanced tab when exporting)
    I
f that doesnt work , heres a likely workaround , split the plot into 2 , the printing section and the cutting section. When exporting , select PAGE and not objects (then the print and cut will be in register) and tell the rip to rewind the print to the origin (start point) after printing. Print and then do the same for the cut file.

Im not at all familiar with the Trooper RIP , but this is most likely a translation problem between signlab/corel/rip.
