when you say cheap… how cheap if you dont mind me asking mate… just so i can weigh up price on what they get for it.

Rich cheap and cheerfull, but I would drop the capitals for the address, and us use a lighter weight font for the "club and function room" if its cheap and quick I would also omit the shadow, if its done in vinyl.
(what do you mean by cheap though)

it’s maybe a bit harder to read though like that. I think the little bit of white breaks it up a bit.

You haven’t left any margin space which spoils it.
If you put "Club and Function room" at the top and move the main title into the middle it would look much better.
Then go out and buy "Mike Stevens – Mastering Layout" before you get chided by Jill 😀

thanks phil

i would love nothing more than to get off here and have a read but been too busythanks for the suggestion mate

I think they look better.
Another option would be to do away with the red band on the lower example and just use red lettering. This is the "Natural Layout" Mike Stevens describes in his book (though without the required margin spaces top and bottom). However, the shape of the banner limits your ability to include proper margins unless you make the banner thicker 😀

rob i like your idea but this is for a Jamaican old fashion night club and i think its to modern looking for them

is it me or is a printed banner not cheaper than a cut vinyl one?
cheap means to me:
360dpi draft one pass mabey twoit would cost about 9euro per square meter banner included plus labor is less ’cause of the not weeding and stuff

this is a quick job in the morning as customer popping in to pick up and no time to sub out the printing but you may be right i have had banner printed in the past at some amazing prices
thanks rich 😀 😀
