  • can anyone help me with SignLab 5.0 USB port option?

I have SignLab 5.0 ver 12 and I just purchased a Graphtec CE3000-60 plotter and it is setup to run off the usb port.. My SignLab 5.0 does not have the USB ports as a option, only the Com 1-4. LT1-2 Windows driver and File options.. Is there anyway around this to use it with a USB cable or do I need to set up the plotter to use the Com-1 or LT-1 ports with the seriall or parallell cables? I tried to find a update that added the USB ports as a plotter set up option but I havent found one. If anyone has seen this update or has a easy option please let me know? Thank you,

Signlab 5.0 doesn’t have USB support. It’s too old. Don’t think USB arrived until version 6.0, maybe even 6.1. So you will have to stick with running it Serial. 😥

If its the same as EngraveLab then its a big no to USB. Its kind of holding me back as it aint easy finding a new computer that has serial/parallel ports (or the ability to easily add. The only option is to use USB port replicators. I need Serial for the machine and Parallel for the software dongle!
