Hi all. I wonder can anyone help me. I’ve got a scan motor error code coming up on my machine, does anybody know what this means. Thanks in advance

Don’t know what it means – but I’ve had this before. Just switch of and back on again to clear it.

Thanks guys, I’ve tried all that, no luck, I’m wondering is the scan motor the one that powers the head. I’ve had the other scan message when I didn’t roll of the vinyl once or twice, but never this one. I wouldn’t mind only I’ve got a load of gear to get out for the big Paddy’s day celebrations…..

    Steve
check that the head can move across freely, do you get it if the cutter head travels on its own or when its with its print head assembly.
Sometimes it can be caused by a build up of dirt & dust on the linear slide causing the bearing to struggle to run. Wind your head carriage down & check nothing is stuck with dried ink etc it doesn’t take much to trip these errors.
    Best of luck

Thanks Kevin, no joy but I’ve noticed that the capping station isn’t coming up to meet the print heads,
