if i read it right you want ops662 driver.
this is a window driver that goes in under printer drivers dont try and use the controller or cutting master.
just a black hairline placed on a page that represents the cutting area.

have you got the driver page sizes AND the corel page set the same, if you are cutting a box it sounds like its gone off the page.
as its cutting one line then perhaps not the driver

Ok…heres what Im doing, I create the page in Corel, select print, choose CE5000 in the drop down menu, then I get the cutter interface, I set the page size to the same as Corel and press print the cutter cuts two lines out of the five. Is this the right way to do it?

    Hi Harry,
Have you tried opening launch, it’s the rocket button just under ‘Bitmaps’ on Corel 3, you should see ‘cut/plot’.

    Hope this helps

    select ce5000 – properties
plot area say 575 x2000 portrait ok ok

double click the page border in corel
set page from printer change to landscape

place what you wish to cut btm left of the page with a black hairline
press print check with preview OK

I had a few problems when i 1st got my cutter, a couple of things i needed to do was make sure its set up for the correct port also the command on cutter needed changing to HPGL . not sure if this will solve your problem.

Did your new Graphtec not come with cutting Master? Graphtec can supply this and it has many more features than a Windows driver including automatic weld for script lettering. I have it here and it working fine with X3 albeit it is on an old 1 gig machine and runs a little slow. I think the X3 compatible version runs only with gpgl so ensure the graphtec is in that mode rather than hpgl.
Cutting Master is not just a driver, when installed an option is put under ‘rocket’ tab you can also add registration marks for contour cutting.

Not sure if its the right way, but it will do until I can contact Graphtec on Monday.

    Harry,
I had the same problem when I upgraded to Corel X3 from Corel 9. I received a disc from Graphtec with the latest X3 plugin for the machine although I imagine they are now shipped with this new one now. If it’s the latest one then it should add the rocket (launcher) icon along the top command bar or allow you too add it manually as Jeremy Howes mentions in his reply, also you need to change the language on the cutter from HPGL which was ok for previous versions of corel to GPGL. How to get there on the menus and change it is in the manual.

    Alex.

Thanks Alex, I’m up and running now….and it is a brilliant cutter….fast, deadly accurate and easy to use. I have saved so much vinyl already!
The option has not appeared in the rocket launcher however, how do you do that manually.
Thanks again everyone, Chris , Marcella, Nick, Lee, Karl, Jeremy and Alan saved this man’s life yesterday!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

cutting master you either love it or hate it i am with the latter.
and the controller is even worse.

but i have used the graphtecs windows drivers for cutting from corel for over 10 years and not wanted to change.

its what you get used to.
