have you tried original pregan paste…apply rigid vinyl thinners first and leave for five mins…then apply paste…leave that on for half an hour rub screen again with the thinners cloth…then blast with pressure washer works everytime 😀

yes im sure we buy it from screenstretch….and the rigid thinners from sericol 😀 we dont have staff..so dont bother about the health and safety side of things 😉 the results it gives is like a new mesh 😀

Didn’t know you could still get Pregan Paste – that’s the oranagy/yellow caustic stuff isn’t it?

I am sure Sericol or Coates will have some sort of stain remover in their catalouge.

In the past I’ve used neat cellulose thinners to clean screens followed by jet washing with water, and that has removed most of the staining, although not sure how that would sit with current health & safety regs. 😕

its not really a health and safety issue if you take suitable precautions. The main issue is washing off the solvent in the bay, the water board (united utlilities) dont like it one bit as the solvent floats on top of the water and collects in the holding tanks and causes a fire hazard.

Dont ask me how I know but we now have to pay £355.00+vat per year for trade effluent disposal and I still cant put any solvent down the drain.
