Well you knew this was expected from me. I would like to start cutting and plotting and I cannot do it.

    Thanks

Certainly sounds like it is outputing to the wrong port….if you edit the thread title to include the word Signlab…….one of their guys might be able to help you.

    What cutter is it?
Is it connected USB or serial?

If its connected USB, did you install any required USB support on the CD that came with the cutter?

Some USB cutters install a fake come port like COM3:
Others install a port like USBxxx-yyyy or plottername-USB
Do you see anything like your plotters name in the port list.

Do you know how to get to control panel/Device Mananger / Ports (Com and LPT )
Does COM3 repeatadly appear and disappear as you plug and unplug the usb cable . If it DOES, your cutter installed a fake com3 and thats the port you should be cutting to. If it Doesnt, then com3 is the wrong port.
