  • can anyone help me get artcut/dingtec cutting please?

    Hello

I hope someone can help as i am bashing my head against a brick wall.

And as usual there is prob a easy answer.

I have a Dingtec ( good little work horse) and therefore Artcut, also i run Corel X3 / 12.

I am trying to produce Logos in corel and get them over to Artcut.

I have done the Logos including text in Corel and export / saved in a HPGL file. Then i have imported in Artcut. All very well and it works but when the images come through on Artcut there are no curves it is all lines.

I have tried converting to curves in corel but it will not give me the option.

Please if anyone can help i would be so happy. It all works well if you know what you are doing but i am afraid i was before the age of PC’S

    Thanks

    H

If you ungroup the design in Corel – Arrange – convert to curves

this should work, sometimes you will struggle to convert a "group"

Upping the resolution at export will still give you lines but much shorter ones, therefore a better curve not sure if there is an option for hpglto be exported as curves, I may enquire later.

    hello helen

if you convert to wire frame, then export as a plt file, you should find that works with artcut,
if you purchased this machine and software of a dealer, then should be able to support you with this sort of problem,

    Hi Helen,
I’m running coreldraw 12 and a dingtec 630. I’ve found the best way to tranfere files is ungroup in corel, convert to curves, select the text and export as an eps. Open artcut and import (not open) the eps. I did try to cut straight from coreldraw but had too many problems.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers John
