Sounds like you switched the language over on the plotter. Should be HPGL i think.

    Martin has Signlab 8.0 Kevin.

Martin are you still using the Graphtec CE? as Alex suggested have you accidentally changed the language setting?

Sorry Martin can’t remember off of the top of my head, will find out tomorrow if you don’t have it sorted by then.

Do you still have the cd that came with the plotter? the manual is on there. The cutter can run in either HPGL or GPGL. It will tell you how to change from one to the other in the manual. Think you have to press pause & next etc. to get there….

when i go in to cut menu in signlab / plotting defaults / the selected driver is graphtec CE5000-60 (HPGL)

And now it is starting to cut on the opposite side of the plotter!

Am not sure what i did. but was working on signlab and my plotter was off. when i turned it on there was some kind of warning or message came up on the screen! i was in that big o a hurry i just pressed ok. stupid mistake!!! so its changed some kind of setting!

Ive still got all my cds. and was thinking of putting the graphtec cd back in mite reset back to normal? what you think?

Martin, you can also change the language on the cutter that’s what I meant not the software. As I recall it flashes up HL or GL when you switch it on. Have a look to make sure it says HL if you are using the HPGL driver in Signlab.

Ive got it to cut text now. Thank you again.

Still a small problem tho. when i set up my plotter Ive always started @ the bottom right hand corner of the media. but it wants to start @ the bottom left hand corner and in my preview in signlab my text goes across the width of the media and it starts to cut across the length of the media.

Martin you have changed the start point of origin, you should be able to change it back on the plotters menu if it is the same as older graphtecs.

Hi folks sorry for still being a nag

Still having a wee problem with this plotter :banghead: thinking maybe its some thing to do with landscape and portrait settings? as it cutting the width of the roll instead of the length. is there any setting for this as Ive looked every where and for what i can see every thing set on portrait!

Ive even looked in the robo master program in case its change something in there but no joy 😕

    Thanks
