Since upgrading from X3 the graduations in the transformation/position docker have changed from 1mm to 0.1mm which means that a simple click on the up/down boxes for creating a 1mm gap between duplicates now requires 10 clicks.

Does anybody know if this can be changed and if so where/how?

    Thanks

This is fine for the nudge value but doesn’t affect the increment value in the Transformation/position docker. If I right click the position box in the docker and choose settings I can see the increment set at 0.1mm but I can’t change it here. When I check X3 this is set to 1mm so I am hoping there is a facility somewhere to change this.

    Thanks

sorry colin misunderstood but a bit stumped on your explanation, you can only alter Transform/Position value if you have something selected.

or have i got the wrong end of the stick again

    Thanks Chris,

When I lay out various sized items across a page, I found it convenient to click the item, click the right arrow (which sets the size) and then click once or twice on the up increment to set a 2mm space. Then clicking the duplicate button repeats across the area available. It meant no keyboard input necessary. Step and repeat works OK but has to be adjusted all the time for different sized objects. The .1mm increment is useless but also standard in signlab for some reason?

I see your point Colin, I’ve never noticed this before as I also type in a value. I’ll ask the question.

    Hi men,

Isn’t the setting right next to the nudge setting. It cant be that much different to X3 its the X Y value. Just type in the value you want the duplicate to go.

    Hope this helps

Mark, yes you can but Colin is referring to a slightly different issue, from the position docker you can either type in a value or click arrows to increase/decrese value these increments used to be 1mm and now it is set to .1mm. This increment value when using arrows is not user definable.
It has been mentioned on the beta forum and hopefully will filter through to the powers that be.
