can a cadet be good enough to run as a basic plotter?
I was hoping someone could give me an opinion or perhaps a pic showing how good a Cadet is as a basic plotter.
If I buy a cadet, I will still use a plotter but I’d like to know if the Cadet will be capable of cutting 10mm text for example. Basically I’m trying to suss out how much work I would still need to out source.

i dont have a cadet although i get a fair bit of digital work and sub it out, what i can say is iv seen the cadet in action and it cuts the same as my plotter including small fonts, cadets a expensive vinyl cutter though at 8k 🙄

A cadet is a re-branded Versacamm, right?
If so, it would work as a plotter. I use ours all the time. It does cut a lot slower than our other plotter though, but if you are not in a rush then it works just fine.
