  • Cadlink Support has been stopped for singlab 5 users?

Posted by Phill Fenton on July 30, 2004 at 8:49 pm

I received an email today from Cadlink advising me that Signlab vers. 5 would no longer be supported. As a signlab 5 user, I am concerned that should the dongle develop a fault this may mean I will no longer be able to obtain a fix without buying an upgrade to a later version of Signlab.

    here’s the message in full:-

    Dear Signmaker,

As previously advised, on the 31st August 2004 all Technical support services will cease on SignLab V5, V4.95 and all earlier versions

It is essential to understand that as of the release of SL7, support will only be available for version(s) 6, 6.1 and 7. Those users of V5, V4.95, V3.2 and older will need to upgrade to the current SignLab version in order to qualify for technical support. All upgrades and new purchases qualify for 6 months tech support, FOC.

For a more detailed overview of CIS, the support services they can provide, the application form, and the payment options, please take some time to visit the support section of the CIS web site at
    http://fp.cadlink.plus.com/sl_uk_support_2.htm

Thank you for taking the time to read this important email, should you have any questions or concerns regarding the technical support status of your company, please call us on 01462 420222 where one of our team will be happy to talk things through with you.

If you are not currently a SignLab user, please simply reply to this email with the words "NO SIGNLAB" in the subject field

    Best Regards

Nice of cadlink isn’t that phill?
Had your cash, now pulling the support that enabled cadlink to progress its
status and initially financed development for its latest products.

Small wonder users are converting to the far superior Flexisign.

I haven’t had the misfortune of sampling v7 yet, but one assumes it’s as buggy as the rest of cadlinks tripe.
