  • Cadet Firmware updates.

    Hello,

Can anyone with Cadets help me with info on firmware updates?
The machine currently has V5.40 but I read somewhere that V6.20 addresses the problem with sensing empty 440ml cartridges.
    Can anyone confirm that?
I have updated Versaworks that came with the Cadet but am hesitant to upgrade the firmware without advice.
Unfortunately the Uniform distributors in Australia have closed up shop so no help there.

    Thanks Folks.

😮 Closed up shop for good mate, or just on holidays for the long weekend?

What state are you in Kevin? Combined Technical Services could probably help you if you are in Brisbane. Ask for Chris….

    Hello Shane,

Gone for good unfortunately. I understand that another Australian wide firm may be taking over the agency but not confirmed as yet.
I’m on the Sunshine Coast. Not too far away from you I guess.

I’ve been wondering how your Dad is. Has he had his surgery yet?
Understand you are off to the Land of the Long White Cloud soon.
When you are in Dunedin have a Speights Ale for me.
    Thats my old home town.

Thanks for the advice re Combined Technical Services.
Haven’t needed any major support yet but have sent some queries to Uniform UK. No reply(???).
What version firmware is on your Roland?

    Cheers
    Kevin

Hey mate, not sure of the revision date. I’ll check when I go in in the morning and let you know.

Dad goes in on May 11, has the op on may 12. Can’t come soon enough either. Poor bloke goes to sleep in front of his computer at all times of the day, hand on the mouse, head on the keyboard, wakes up 2 hours later as tho nothin has happened. His heart just can’t keep up

Still sends a cold shiver down my spin when I have been out all morning and I find him slumped over his desk.

Keep telling him to stay home, but he is a stubborn old coote 😛 And in truth, I’m happier when he is with me, at least I can keep an eye on him. 🙄 and it is less worry for my mum.

Only down side, his surgeon has informed him that he is leaving the hospital system and that he’ll have a new doc appointed by Qld health.

Have just been told it is a female heart surgeon which he is not unhappy about, it is just that he got to know his original surgeon pretty well.

Like a lot of people his age, he is not keen on change, especially when it comes down to a quadruple heart bypass.

I’m sure the new surgeon will be fine, but dad is worried sick as each day gets closer.

Didn’t the uniform distributors notify everyone they were changing over to citrus inks a few months back? I wonder if that was the nail in the coffin?

Cheers Kevin. I was up the sunshine coast last weekend for a few days. Pity I didn’t know you were there I could have called in and bludged a cuppa coffee……

    Talk soon.

You’re a glider Pilot then Chris. Wow, I’m personally not comfortable about going up in an aircraft without a motor, (or wings for that matter) but a mate of mine tells me it is the best experience in the world.

From what I see of the photos, it is a beautiful place, and I’d imagine gliding would be the ultimate, for a glider pilot.

Hope you get there one day Chris.
