Sorry for being dumb but why is everyone going today? I thought it was a three day (fri, sat, sun) festival.

have a fab time Steve …………. hope the weather is good!
Laughed at the title of the thread ………. me and my daughter Emily laugh every time we hear anyone say that. What’s funnier is when we shout ‘see you next tuesday’ and they are unaware!!!!!! :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: -
"sadly im left to enjoy sticky vinyl and annoying customers"
So, you can imagine you are actually there!
Substitute sticky vinyl for sticky mud and annoying customers for annoying hippies and your in Glastonbury!
I feel better now. Now, where’s that Amen Corner lp?

Enjoy yourself Steve.
I’ve done my share, but it’s not my idea of fun these days though
added on edit: Really pleased I’ve sussed out how to change text size though. 😀

I remember (just barely ) the days when I thought sitting cheek to jowl in a giant mud puddle in alternating rain/swelter with 50,000 mind-altered people watching bands we could neither see or hear well and standing in a line 100 people long to use a porta-potty was a grand old time. Not anymore. Actually, if I’m honest about it, I thought it was pretty miserable then, too.
HAVE FUN! :lol1: -

Ok Im back, in fact was back monday but forgot to look at the boards.
I stayed nice and dry for most of the weekend, managed to do 25 cans of carlsberg on the wednesday no idea how,
one day I got soaked as it was nice then rained, that was thrsday.
Jay Z was crap, so was Crackhouse, saw some good ska bands and reggae, Jimmy cliff was excellent, Manu chao was also excellent didnt see much of the mainstream mediocrity that is our music industry today, and went for the lesser known bands, King solomon burke was on stage in a wheelchair but was good, saturday and sunday we could sit down again and the pear cider was excellent.
Best Glastonbury ever for me out of 5 and will be definetely back next year, roll on beautiful days in August.
There, no jail , no getting of with wine house no stuck in the mud, and the van was there when I got back to go home, and my registration plates were still on too.. My reg is FE52 TVL (came with the van lucky eh) so taped them up with electrical tape to make it say something else not festival lol.
All in all a great weekend
Off to Perranporth tomorrow for a mini holiday
cya monday
