Business is very slow just now. am i the only one?
Things have gone from steady to silent all of a sudden!
I am wondering is it the obvious “covid” or just business is slow for everyone just now?
How are things for you, good, bad or the same as always at this time of year? -

Our workload went a little quieter for two days last week so I assumed people were only too happy to take their foot off the gas a little earlier this year considering recent events. I took the opportunity to wrap one of my vans, but halfway through it & I may have made a judgement error. The enquiries have now returned to normal levels. I still think I should be at the front of the queue though so I’m reluctant to stand aside & wait

Historically December is always the quietest month of the year for us, and this year is no exception. Then there’s a break for Christmas and the new year followed by Tax bills in January. If I had my way, Christmas and new year would be cancelled

Thankfully, we’re still really busy, and having to push work into the New Year now. Floor sticker madness seems to have started again.

@Phill-Fenton. I agree with cancelling it, Phill. if it wasn’t for the kids I would be off someplace nice filling out covid passports and taking tests. 🤔

We’re booked up until Tuesday then we’ll close until the new year.
One decent job confirmed for Jan, but that was confirmed weeks ago.

I have a couple of small jobs to do and a larger one to complete, then I’m done till the new year.
The past few weeks have been slower than normal for this time of year. -
Went deadly quiet then suddenly picked up, not much in line for Jan so far but normally picks up quickly so not unduly worried😱

We are pretty much the same year on year, but the most noticeable difference is that more companies appear to be reluctant to give the production or installation nod before Christmas. However, all it means is we have a busier start to 2022 now.
I think the uncertainty of all this, is what keeps us all on edge.

We are having one of the busiest time.. Working day & night to finish the jobs before close in Christmas time. I’ve rejected quite a few jobs as we cannot manage to do. I thought everywhere is same, but if some of you are quieter I case this is down to the type of works.. Hope you get busier in Jan..
