Why doesn’t he want people to see out of the bus. Is he a serial kidnapper or something that doesn’t want his victims to know were he’s taking them? And was he dressed up as a clown?

Can the vinyl be applied from the outside ?
Or can you remove the window tint, then you have a ready made template for your vinyl ?

It’s a Party Bus Phill, although he isn’t allowed to provide alcohol on the bus people get on already having had a few or with their own stash 😆 😆 😆

He says when people see someone outside they know they start banging on the windows trying to attract their attention & don’t seem to understand that the person outside can’t see them because of the tint. His other bus has blocked out windows & he says people don’t bother trying to look out 😆 😆

Neil, I was just hoping to be able to put it over the top of the tint rather than remove it, windows are just big rectangles so no need for a template really. Applying to the outside might be an option but was really hoping to put it on the inside 😆

Applying wet over the tint film will not affect the tint except it will get hot in the sunshine.
Tint film is often water activated but not usually on vehicles where it is pressure activated and the water is only used to position it. Either way once activated water will have no affect on adhesive as it gets wet all the time on vehicles and on external window applications, and even in shower cubicles. In fact is very hard to get off so water and condensation does not matter.

Hi Martin,
Just yesterday I have removed vinyl form an old shop windows. Some of them had the blast proof film on the outside (don’t know why).
I don’t know for how long the vinyl was there but must have been for while, it was an empty unit.
The vinyl was some gray-back (removable) with lamination and it came off quite easily and caused no damage to the film.

I would explain to the customer that if the tint film gets damaged when installing/removing the vinyl, it will involve additional costs to replace the film. This should turn him down and let you apply outside.
