I’m out in the sticks and broadband will be old technology by the time BT get it to us, at about the same time as the next Ice Age.

Consequently I had one way satellite broadband installed a couple of months ago and whilst it is a lot quicker than my old dial-up it seems to be a bit of a bodge. I’ll have to persevere though, as I have no option.

    🙁

    …well, I guess we’re really lucky! 😎

In the village where I live, if we’re real lucky we might get broadband in about the year 2150! Then, just recently some wealthy businessman moves into the village and needs broadband to connect his worldwide enterprises. So he’s in the process of having a special dedicated broadband main line brought into the village at a cost reputed to be £45,000! His entire business will only require upto half the capacity of this line and so he has now offered the other half to other businesses in the village…needless to say we said YES PLEASE!

For £200 each setup plus £30 a month it’s the answer to our prayers.

All being well – it’ll all be in place for Xmas – yeehaa!

    more soon

    Hey Mike

I’d be a bit careful quoting Martin Luther King.
    😕

Don’t you remember what happened to him?
    (:)

I am happy to be rural
    😆
but peed off with a certain communication giant that owns a network that was financed through taxation
    👿
and that doesn’t give a toss about small individuals

I know I bank HSBC, but I thought Hong Kong & Shanghi Business Corp. was just a name. I didn’t think it ment my Bank Manager lived there…. 👿
