I’m just about to relocate and will be requiring a new broadband connection, just wondered who you guys used (?)

I like the prices quoted by Talk Talk but from what I read it’s a hit & a miss service 🙁

I’m on Tiscali. No real problems I suppose. On the odd occasion I ring for something I dial an 0870 number to the other side of the planet and speak to someone whose first language is not English.
The price was competitive at the time (£17.00) not sure how it compares now

Obviously you know certain services still require you to have a BT line first so the price they charge for broadband is service only and not the line.

I use virgin, £18/month on their line.

I have seen this offer, how do you find the service, do they have a download limit?

    Thanks Guys:D

After contacting Orange I have been offered there Home Select package for £10 a month instead of the normal £20.

    It gives you:
    Upto 8 meg speed
    unlimited usage (FPU)
    Livebox wireless modem
& finally a second line giving inclusive calls to UK landlines, Orange mobiles and 30 international destinations.

Tried to get the free broadband service they had offered in the past but it wasn’t happening 🙄

Orange 😮 I was with them (Hutchison Telecom) years ago, nothing but drama. Finished up threatening to sue them if they didn’t let us out of our contract.

They are not here anymore, their reputation was so bad, they are now known as 3 (three). Reputation is no better tho. A friends daughter works for them, but she will not sell any contracts to her friends, as she says they pretty bad for support, even for staff.

The 3 network here in oz has a bad name too.

Well, after using Orange’s Home Select broadband & phone service for over a month now, I have to give it a big :2thumbs:

Got 2 laptops & 1 Wii console running wireless, office computer wired & 1 HP printer shared for all to print to. All very easily set-up.

The second telephone line with it’s own dedicated 0845 number is brilliant, this is now my main business telephone number.

The included free calls package is sure to make good savings over the year. With most European country’s included, this now lets me phone friends in Cyprus on a weekly basis without worrying about the phone bill hitting the floor.

All this for only £10 a month 😀

Many thanks to all who recommended the service!

I use a small ISP called Upstream internet a great little ISP

When you call for support you speak to one of the owners! I bought a NAS drive with built in FTP server a few weeks ago so that clients could send large files without using email, these guys spent over an hour on the phone setting it up for me free!!
