Bonding acrylic letters to an internal wall
Hi,
We have a job where we are supplying some acrylic letters to a client that is insisting on fitting themsevles. The acrylic letters will be fitted directly to an internal wall (without locators). We have not seen the finish on the internal walls but, assume they are recently painted. Does anyone have any tried and tested adhesive tape that worked well for them?

Hi Darren
We use Oracal Foam Stick tape. You can buy it from Vink. I use “Vink Scotland” which was formally Europoint.
Don’t get it confused with the likes of the thin oracal banner hemming tape. You want the “foam” tape, it’s about 1mm thick x 25mm wide.
All the non-illuminated letters in the photos are done using this tape.

Fantastic service from Vink Scotland – I had previously called around all the usual suspects for supply of some tape to do the job and not one of them had any notion of what to supply. The lass at Vink Scotland was superb. Had great knowledge and the delivery arrived next day. I tested some and by eck, it’s on!

I have used double sided foam stick for years, excellent tape.
