Posted by Ade Brown on January 19, 2009 at 6:31 pmHi
anyone know where you can get these
They go over the end of a thread to protect from people catching themselves on the bare thread!!

Hi Kev,
sorry didn’t put down a full explanation!!
I am looking for a supplier that sells small quantities – There are a few manufacturer’s including Moss Plastics, Premier Vinyl Solutions and few more but they all sell larger quantities..
I only require 24!!!!
most are boxes of 500 and 1000

if you cant get them, what about using a piece of PVC pipe or Rubber hose just screw on & cut off flush. On 6mm bolts i have brought PVC pipe from my local Aquarium shop put it on then warmed it for a good fit. You could also get some heat shrink from someone like Maplin’s & shrink that on.Kev

No problem Ade. I’ll check their price in the meantime but they were pennies when I bought a dozen last month.

In the past, all I have ever done is cut the bolt/screw down to a minimum length with a hacksaw & put a splodge of black silicone sealer on the rest of the stickie out sharp edge.
