Hi looking for somebody to produce a huge order for me. Yes, 2 pairs of overalls with a small logo on the pocket. Colour of overalls to be blue, logo probably white. Client asked for embroidered or screen printed, yes for two pairs but I told him it would not be. Anyone interested e-mail me and I will send file.

Stuart – Have you tried the Graffityp material that you can cut on a vinyl cutter then iron onto clothing? It’s very good. Survives washes is long lasting and easy to apply. It’s called Graffiflex. I use it to put my own logo onto sweatshirts. 😀

    Phill

i have often thought about it but we dont have a heat press. Do you just use a standard iron? I was under the impression that it did not work that way?

Be very interested to hear about how you do it.

We just use an ordinary iron – this works fine and we have never had any problems.

we have a graphtec plotter and use 09U blades as standard. What type of blades do you use to cut the film with Phill.

I use a summagraphics D610 plotter fitted with a drag knife which is the standard blade for this machine. The Graffiflex material is thicker than ordinary vinyl so you have to increase the depth of the blade (i.e the amount sticking out of the holder) and also increase the pressure over the setting you would use for ordinary vinyl. I usually perform a few test cuts at different pressures before trying to cut a design.

Just remember to revert back to your old settings afterwards or you will find the blade cuts through the backing paper on ordinary vinyl.

Yes Phill, been there a few times, the graphtec has four presets. On more than one occasion I have set it in motion only to find it going crazy! Always my fault but still has you scratching your head for a few seconds. I may get hold of a few meters and play around with it. Thankls for your help.
