allow extra time to go around the door and panel shuts to hide as much white as possible, and i would still say to the customer that you will see small bits of white after wards , from some angles. doing one panel at a time allows you a bit more vinyl at the edges to hide white.
last wrap we did on our own van was to spray all the door shuts first but you can’t do that on a customers white one.

yes Chris, it is definitely looking to be a time eater…….roof to do too.

I did a subaru a few weeks back and not sure I would want to do another white to black colour change again. Personally I wasn’t happy with it at all and on my own took 15hrs, customer was very happy though so I can’t complain but was still a nightmare with all the curves on bumper and spoiler etc and as you say you will see white in gaps and hinges etc so make sure they are well aware of that.
Good luck and happy birthday 😳 :lol1:

Did this a month ago. Not matt black though gloss black.
The roof took me the longest due to all the ribs and having to heat and post heat around them all.
Being in an awkward position on the roof doesn’t help either but you are way lighter than me Cheryl so your safe.
This was the Avery Supreme Wrapping Film. Awesome product removed without any heat either and no residue.

good to hear some feedback on the avery supreme jason, van looks great too mate.
i dont envy you or shane on all these wraps with the weather you guys get there. so hearing you are getting good results on certain wrap films is encouraging.Cheryl, for solid colour wraps i really like the 3M 1080 wrap and would advise at least trying it.
i am hoping to have a go at the Avery supreme very soon as i have only heard good things about it. applied online for my sample metre or so some weeks ago but havent received it yet. 😕 -

Robert, someone mentioned that offer in another post but I could never find the link or advert for it.
Who was doing the frre sample & do you know if it is still available as I would have liked to try it myself. -
Jason – I’m pleased you achieved such excellent results with Avery Supreme Wrapping Film. The wrap looks great.
Rob – I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t get your sample. We did have a few samples returned to us as undeliverable, although that doesn’t seem to include yours. In case it went astray in the post I will get another one sent.
Martin – The site was http://www.perfectwrap.eu in the wrap and win competition registration. Sadly the competition has now closed, although do check out the gallery as we had some really creative wraps submitted. If you let me know your address we have a about 5 spare sample rolls left and I can get one sent to you.
Cheryl – Apologies for hijacking your thread.
With kind regards

We got our sample of the Supreme film and I like the look of it. I think the 1080 and Hexis equivalent are aimed at car wraps and less experienced fitters so they are a bit thicker. The Avery feels more like a cast but just thick enough not to tear so easily. Shame its so pricey!
