• black out help

i have been asked to black out some large windows

this will only be on a temporary basis

so obviously black vynil is not the way as its too much hassle to remove afterwards

i was thinking of black paper? perhaps in large rolls?

anybody done anything like this before or even any ideas where to purchase large rolls of black paper?

A few removable vinyls out there. You don’t say how big the windows are, but one of my clients used aluminium foil to blank out his windows. Looked really good, easy to do, and was very striking from the outside too 🙄

Don’t forget that black/dark vinyl will absorb a lot of heat and you can end up with the windows cracking.

    So I’ve been warned anyway

This depends on whether the glass is double glazed or toughened, can’t remember what way round it is, but if you get in touch with a window film supplier they will be able to advise you to apply to the inside/outside if dark vinyl is the way you go.
