    Hi
just downloaded and installed some open type fonts onto my system.

Thing is they show up in Photopaint and even in microsoft word but only about half of them (6 out of 13) show up in Coreldraw (12)…

Any ideas, I’ve tried deleting and reinstg but same results, what on Earth is going on?

Are you running Font Navigator that came with V12? The Bitstream Font Navigator was a little temperamental with Open Type fonts although it has improved with X3 and X4 but I couldn’t tell you if it was FN or Corel which was the actual issue.

Yes Alan, am using FN version that came with 12, and agree it could be that since I have experience of FN being tempremental on other matters (once seems it decided to delete all of my installed fonts inc. windows ones!!!)

Thanks to kind assistance I’ve solved my problem in another way (converted them to true type).

Strange though does FN still operate when I install open fonts via MS control panel, tried that but it still didn’t like particular ones…

    Anyway thanks again.

How do you convert them to true type Ian?

I’m not sure Ian as I always install fonts using FM. The biggest pain I get is that if visit the fonts folder in Windows all fonts get loaded into FM as installed and it slows the computer down on bootup and consequently Corel is slow opening a new document. Those with X3 and X4 can speed things up by disabling the way fonts shown in the Corel font drop down.
